So close.

I have 4-5 more essays to complete, a website to build (not as difficult as it seems but it is pretty much writing another essay), and then a few discussion postings and I' finished. I'm hoping to have this all nearly complete by Monday.

After I am finished with school, my goal is to have a first draft of my WIP completed by July 22nd. Why this date you ask? That is when the Pacific Northwest Writers Association Conference is.

Yes, I can complete a first draft by the end of July. I really, really can.

This means I have some prep work to do (once school is out of the way). April and May will be dedicated to two extended character sketches, 6 minor character sketches, 3 world/land sketches, and a completely solid outline. Following that I will be writing. The goal would be 50,000 words as I'm aiming for a 40,000 final copy.

And never fear, alone with those goals are also to keep up my tweets and blogging twice a week (at a minimum). Hooray!

Sarah is having another 50,000/50 in July. Are you planning to join?

Good luck with the character sketches! You are well on your way.

Thanks. Character sketches are so tedious but, for me, there is no way around them. They just help the story too much.

You can totally do it! And hey! I think my agent, Michelle Andleman, is going to be at that conference. I could be wrong, though... I often am. :)

Thanks so much. I created my timeline/to-do today.

Having a time goal is the most important step to realizing it. Then you can work backwards and figure out how many pages need to happen per day. I'm rooting for you!

That's what I did today! I figure I need to be done outlining and all that by May 7th so I can start writing and be finished by July 1st. It should be fun, I can't wait.

Good luck! I'm sure you can do it. It sounds like you have a plan in place, and that's half the battle.

Good luck! I love having a plan to keep me on track, that makes everything so much easier.

It should be interesting how my plan evolves over the next few weeks. I have a timeline all set up.
