Let the Writing Begin (almost)

I do a lot of prep work for my novels. I do an outline and extensive character and setting sketches, then I go back and expand my outline - then I begin to write.

It's a long process but when I have everything written down like that, I can focus on the book and nothing else. And I'm nearing the end of the process for this WIP.

As this is the first novel that I will be pursuing publishing for (meaning, its the first long writing piece I will honestly finish, edit, revise, etc). I have at least a few nearly finished manuscripts laying around but this is the first I think could go somewhere.

I have it on my to-do list that I begin really writing next Friday. Then you will get to see that ticker start moving up. I'm super excited to see it without a big 0%.

I am excited for you! I understand all the prep work. I researched for weeks before I began the writing process, but it's well worth it. I'll be watching for your % to increase!

Isn't it a great feeling? :-) Hey, where do you get the tickers? I see people with word counts on their blogs, but wasn't sure where they came from.
